April 23, 2019 The EASL Clif Consortium participated in the International Liver Congress 2019 The ILC took place 10-14 April 2019 in Vienna with the attendance of around 10,000 delegates from more than 121 countries.

Most of the EASL Clif Consortium centres were represented and active in the Congress. Thanks to the daily work of the Consortium members, the quality of their contributions in oral presentations, posters and a Think Tank on Chronic Liver Failure were highly appreciated and commented during the meeting.

The majority of the EF Clif staff took part in the Congress and shared their experiences with other members of the Consortium and specialists from all over the world, as Dr Adrián Gadano, Dr Alberto Farias, Dr Óscar Beltrán and Dr Marco Arrese, participants in the ACLARA Study, sponsored by the EF Clif. Dr Wenji, visiting researcher in the EF Clif in 2018, also participated in the Congress with an oral presentation on the prognosis of ACLF and its criteria requirements in China. There was a particularly emotional moment for the staff of the EF Clif when our President Dr Vicente Arroyo was in charge of awarding Dr Flair Carrilho, PI of the ACLARA study, with one of the EASL recognition awards 2019 to the career. During the Congress, The EF Clif had an active participation by celebrating the Annual General Assembly, where it was announced the First EF Clif Venice Meeting in October 2019.
